CYBERBESECURITY- safety on the internet

 

The Internet is a worldwide system of connections between computers, referred to as a network of networks, allows the exchange of information and creates a network of services such as www or mail, without it our lives would be more difficult. It is a treasure trove of knowledge, but can be treacherous, so remember about a few rules of safe Internet use.

AMONG THE MOST DANGEROUS ONLINE THREATS ARE
– malicious software (various types of viruses, fake websites) 
– inappropriate content for minors, which may affect their psychology in the future 
– cracking easy passwords and storing them in the browser
– violation of privacy, stalking
– hackers          
– spam                     
– paedophilia               
– siecioholizm (Internet addiction)  
– botnets (computers infected with malicious software)
– phishing, false identities
– data encryption without our knowledge
– open Wi-Fi networks
MAIN RULES FOR STAYING SAFE ON THE INTERNET:
1. set strong passwords (periodically change the passwords of your online accounts)
2) Only use trusted networks
3) Use anti-virus software
4) Do not open suspicious websites
5) Keep your internet browser and operating system up to date
6) Don’t forget to log out of websites
Only enter your sensitive information on sites with SSL certificates
